Cheryl Ireland, community relations officer for Sellafield Ltd, said; “We have a charity of the year every year and the fact that we have chosen the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children’s Fund this year is testament to the hard work that one of our employees, Mark Andrews, puts in to raise funds for it.
The fund will receive £2,007 from Sellafield Ltd, cash generated over the course of a series of events held by employees over the year. Next year, the chosen charity will get £2,008.
