The CKDCF raised over £14,000 during its first ever online fundraising weekend (23-25 October 2020).

The weekend began on Friday 23 October with CKDCF fundraiser Mark Wardle hosting one of his famous Facebook quizzes in aid of the charity.
Mark Andrews’ online auction, which featured a set of ‘MAN’ album cover outtakes, handwritten Francis Dunnery lyrics and a range of Ronnie James Dio merchandise, also proved to be a huge success across the week leading up to the fundraising weekend.
A number of fundraisers donned their walking boots for the CKDCF ‘virtual’ sponsored walk on Saturday 24 October. The CKDCF would like to give a big shout-out to Jeanette Farmer, Paul Armstrong, Nadia Jaynes, Fay Dunnery, and Stacey and Lola Procter for their efforts.
Saturday evening saw the CKDCF Charity Concert move online for the first time ever. The event was hosted by Francis Dunnery and was so packed with talent that a ‘Part Two’ had to be organised for the following evening. Viewers heard music and interviews from musicians, as well as hearing from CKDCF funding recipients, fundraisers and volunteers.
The CKDCF Online Charity Concert can still be viewed on Crowdcast: https://bit.ly/2SCRBnP.
Other notable fundraising included Mark Andrews conquering the ‘world’s hottest pizza’ to raise over £1,000. A number of signed CDs were also donated by Quint Starkie, with all proceeds going to the CKDCF.
