It was with great sadness that we, at the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children’s Fund (CKDCF), learned of Peter Watson’s death.
We regarded Peter as both a tremendous supporter and cherished friend of the CKDCF. He will be missed every year at the CKDCF Sponsored Walk – of which he was an annual participant.
Back in October of this year, Peter came to Francis Dunnery’s annual CKDCF Benefit Concert – which he regularly attended as both a member of the press and a fan of Francis’. Peter was known by many of the CKDCF supporters for his continued support and coverage of every one of our annual fundraisers – with one supporter commenting that “Peter was part of the fabric of the charity weekend”.
As a tribute to Peter, Francis has announced that we are going to rename our annual sponsored walk ‘The Peter Watson Joy in the Rain Sponsored Walk‘. The Peter Watson Joy in the Rain Sponsored Walk, taking place in October, will begin with one minute of rapturous applause to celebrate Peter’s life.
Peter will be deeply missed during each of the forthcoming fundraising weekends and we would like to send our sincere condolences to Connie and the rest of Peter’s family and friends – from the Trustees and Supporters of the CKDCF.
