Our EVENTS 2023
Music and Food
Friday 13 October 2023 – 19:00
Seacote Hotel, St Bees, CA27 0ES
The CKDCF Music Festival all kicks off around 7:00pm with a hilarious and yet sometimes tear-jerking keynote presentation with Francis and friends. Immediately following the presentation, we have a wonderful and diverse buffet meal with food to suit everyone’s tastes – no matter who or what you are. With bellys full, the first of the night’s music entertainment begins. We have many artists performing throughout the evening, all playing short sets to keep the night fresh and interesting. This year we will be joined by Eric and the Ogres, Quint Starkie, Deanne Blazey, Simon and John Paul, Simon Betts and Cumbria’s favourite son, Buzz Elliot. We may even pull out the karaoke machine for those who feel the need! It’s an evening of emotional warmth and deep friendship.
Every dinner meal you purchase has a hefty percentage donated to the heath and wellness of children, so there is absolutely no downside. It’s win, win and win again!
Tickets: £33.75 each, available here: bit.ly/CKDCFDinner23
Please note: there is no formal dress code for this event.
Adventure and Health
Saturday 14 October 2023 – 10:00am sharp! You will need to leave the hotel by 9:15am in order to arrive on time.
Loweswater Lake, Cumbria (click here for the exact meeting point)
The Lake District in Cumbria is one of the most beautiful scenic landscapes in the world, boasting scenery the likes of which you’ve never seen. It’s little doubt then that we chose the stunning Loweswater Lake for our fundraising sponsored walk. Starting at 10am sharp on Saturday morning, participants gather at the Loweswater car park and prepare to enter the healthiest and most satisfying walks you’ve ever had. Why? Because with each step you take you will be contributing to the health and wellness of children who genuinely need help and support. So, not only will you be able to shake off the cobwebs of the night before, you’ll also be partaking in the most powerful gestures in the history of the human spirit. GIVING! Like my name sake St Francis once said “It’s in giving that we are given”. And boy was he right! You’re gonna feel like a million dollars after this. After the walk, you can relax for a few hours, eat lunch, watch football at the Hotel or simply rest, ready for an amazing evening of Rock n Roll.
CKDCF MUSIC FESTIVAL official sponsor sheets will be available soon.
Please arrive on time for sign-in and take our annual group photograph, before we set off on the 6km walk around Loweswater Lake.
Parking is available along the road adjacent to Loweswater (look out for the phone box). We would encourage car-sharing where possible.

Food and Drinks
AFTERSHOW PARTY
Here at the CKDCF Music Festival, we recognise that most normal people are extremely hungry after a few beers and a night of spectacular music, so we have taken the liberty to provide after-show soup and sandwiches back at the hotel. It's a really nice way to say goodbye to your new friends and share a few more beers for the road. It will also save you about fifty pounds when you drunken order too much food at the local Chinese restaurant. Myself and the rest of the band will be hanging out for a few hours taking pictures and bidding you all a fond farewell. It will be job well done and over the coming weeks we will let you know how much money you raised by having the time of your life. The after-show party is reserved for CKDCF guests who are staying at the Seacote Hotel only. Food tickets are available from Fay Dunnery over the weekend. If you wish to reserve soup and sandwiches after the show please see Fay at the Friday night dinner for food tickets. Tickets are £10 each.
