PATIENTS at a Cumbrian hospice are to be able to enjoy the latest computer games thanks to a donation from a Cumbrian charity.
The Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children’s Fund, which was founded in 2002 by Egremont musician Francis Dunnery, this week presented a cheque for £500 to Eden Valley Hospice in Carlisle.
The money was to help the hospice buy a Playstation and an adjustable table.
The charity, which Francis set up a honour of his parents, raises funds for children’s health, wellness, and educational needs.
The charity has raised more than £50,000 through sponsored walks, golf tournaments, quizzes, celebrity auctions and concerts.
