Fundraiser Jeanette braves the chop for the CKDCF

Last Saturday, committed CKDCF Fundraiser Jeanette Farmer raised over £1,000 for the charity through her sponsored haircut.

Jeanette’s knee-length hair was chopped 19 inches shorter in aid of the Little Princess Cancer Trust, with proceeds going to the CKDCF.

In the run-up to the challenge, Jeanette explained its significance:

I have problems with my hands which is preventing me from looking after my hair properly.  This is a major thing for me and it is also part of my personality and I am very scared to be losing it but I know that the hair will help a child who has had cancer and also the money I raise will go to help other children’s health and wellbeing through the CKDCF charity.

The CKDCF would like to give a huge thank-you to Jeanette!  The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the health and wellness of children across Cumbria.
